Simon R. Green's Secret Histories series gets off to a fast paced start that doesn't let up from start to finish. There may be a case of too much action as Eddie Drood barely gets a chance to breath in between encounters. Though an entertaing start to a series, this book could also have served as a turning point with 2 or 3 books coming out before the wide sweeping changes that end up taking place by this books conclusion. Though not as good as Green's Nightside series, I will continue to read and hopefully enjoy the Secret Histories.
