This is the 6th book in Mageverse Series. The whole concept of this
series is a little out there, in fact do I venture to say goofy.
Angela Knight not only makes it work, but she makes these books
very entertaining to read. I would start with the first book if you
are new to this series "Master of the Night".
Giada is just coming into her powers as a Maga (witch) and has been
given the duty by Magus (vampire) King Arthur to guard his son, who
is still mortal and residing on earth. Someone is killing latents
(people with the gift to become a Magus or Maga) and has set their
sights on Arthur's son Logan. Sparks begin to fly, making things
"heat up" between Giada and Logan. Giada and Logan are trying to
stop a killer or killers and discover a lot more than they bargain
for. This is a great story, lots of sexy, steamy scenes that only
Angela Knight could write so well. Looking forward to the next book
in this series, Master of Smoke.
