Maudie and the Green Children

This enchanting story, told by Maudie Hessett, takes us back to 1499 when she was a girl living in Woolpit. One day, in Adrian Mitchell`s Maudie and the Green Children, she discovers two green children who have fallen into a wolf-pit from another world. Eventually the children are treated so cruelly by the villagers that they return to their own land but Maudie, now a grown woman, vows to visit the green world when her own child becomes old enough.
