McCown's Law: The 100 Greatest Hockey Arguments

I really liked this book. The more I listen to Bob on the radio and think about his theories both on the air and in the book, the more I agree with him. His reasons for why the Leafs haven't won the Cup in 40 years are both honest and depressing, while his analysis of Mike Millbury's tenure at the helm of the Islanders is hilarious. The book has an easy to read style, and the arguments are organized in a manner that the topics do not seem tedious and overdrawn. A must read for all hockey fans.

Bob makes some compelling arguments about the game. It's the kind of book that could read one story (or argument) at a time. A great little gift for the intelligent hockey fan in your life.

Bob McCown knows hockey and he's not scared to tell you. If you're a hockey fan and want a different perspective than Don Cherry and Ron MacLean give you, read this book. McCown makes some excellent points, calls out some people, and comes up with ideas that make you wonder why nobody has thought of them before.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes the game behind the game of hockey and enjoys debating its greatest achievements, players and controversies.

A must read.
