More and more Amanda Quick titles are finding their way to my book
shelf. Mischief is the most recent addition and certainly does not
disappoint. I loved the hero and heroine, Matthias and Imogen, in
this story. Both are considered rather scandalous in the eyes of
the ton. Imogen is considered an "original" with a reputation of
being "Immodest Imogen". Matthias is a wonderful, warm character,
who has been dubbed "Cold-blooded Colchester" by the ton, and
perhaps even by himself. Matthias gets pulled into Imogen's scheme
to avenge her friend's death. From there, many subplots develop,
keeping the story interesting and fast-paced. The characters are
likeable, Matthias in particular. In a sea of hard-edged heros,
Amanda Quick makes him strong, yet kind and honorable at the same
time. This book is a winner.
