As a health care provider, I was disappointed that this book included medical information regarding umbilical cord blood banking that was incomplete and outdated. This information is misleading for new parents seeking literature to help them make informed decisions. It would be better if they excluded information pertaining to rapidly changing medical fields, or updated their book on a regular basis.

Finally a book that is made just for Canadians. I've read the "What to expect when you're expecting" and I find this one a lot more informative. Not only does it talk about the Canadian healthcare system, it also has real life mom's stories and experiences. It's like reading an informative book and having your girlfriends their telling you what happened in their case too. I highly recommend this book.

This book and the 2 others that I have (the mother of all pregnancy books and the mother of all toddler books) are FANTASTIC!!! I really can't speak enough about them. They are great to read through and to have at your fingertips for reference. I didn't like the idea of reading an american pregnancy book so I looked further and found these...don't hesitate to buy them....DEFINITELY worth every penny!!

I received this book as a baby gift, and it was the best one that I read. I found it very informative, and it really prepared me for motherhood. In fact when my son was born he had umbilical hernia, which wasn't diagnosed until I pointed it out to our doctor after researching it in this book. This was the best baby gift that I received and I would recommend it to any mother-to-be.

The Mother of All Baby Books is a comprehensive and reassuring guide to baby care. It contains chapters on such all-important topics as preparing for the birth of your baby, shopping for baby (i.e. what you need and what is likely to end up being a complete waste of money), what newborn babies really look like, infant behaviour (sleeping, crying vs. colic), infant development, newborn health, breastfeeding and introducing solid foods, coping with the stress of being a
new parent, how having a baby changes your relationship with your partner, how to tell when your baby is sick enough to need to require medical attention, and much more. Like the other two books in the Mother of All series (The Mother of All Pregnancy Books and The Mother of All Toddler Books), The Mother of All Baby Books includes a detailed glossary, a directory of Canadian health and parenting associations/organizations, leads on the best Canadian health and parenting web sites, Canadian immunization information, ba

At last! A book which looks beyond the pregnancy and childbirth experience and provides mothers with practical and helpful advise as to what to do (and not do) once the baby has actually arrived!
