Some of my guilty pleasures include Queen Betsy, Glee and Julia Child. What's not to like about a really tall woman who can cook and was on the same network as Cookie Monster? My life in France is the autobiography of Julia Child, the woman most responsible for introducing French Cooking to America. This is the story of how Julia Child became a Cordon Bleu Chef and introduced French cooking to America with the publication of her cookbook "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". The story also chronicles her move from writiing to performing on the fledgling PBS where she becames a pioneer for the cooking show genre. This story is not only about her love of food, but also about her love of her husband Paul Child who provides all of the beautiful photographs of post-war France for the book.

Buy it or borrow it. It is an interesting read.
