Marty is the only kid of Chinese descent in his Canadian prairie small town. The town consists primarily of French and Anglais kids, who are in separate classes at school, and are at "war" with each other. Marty convinces himself that his parents are aliens and the aliens are trying to take over. He enlists the help of his newfound French friend, Remi, to prove this and get help to save the world.

This is children's lit, and it was cute, funny, fun and a fast read. I also grew up in a small town on the Canadian prairie where there were French and English kids at the same school, but in separate classes, so that may also have held some appeal for me.

I really enjoy reading the book called the Mystery of the Frozen Brains. It is a fabulous book. Also very interesting book to read and has interesting charaters in it. Awesome books. I like all 3 books of Marty Chan

The Mystery of the Frozen Brains is really a truly exciting book based on the real life childhood trials of author Marty Chan. In this book, a young boy named Marty Chan belives that his chinese parents are aliens. I love mystery books. That is all I ever read, just like my mom. I became intersted in the book because, Marty Chan came to our school to talk about his book. Currently I am reading the Mystery of The Graffti Ghoul! I loved The Mystery of the Frozen Brains, I advise everyone from ages 8-14 to read the book. The part that I loved the most was when Marty told Remi, his best friend, his parents are aliens. Marty claims that his mom has mind reading powers. I rate this book a full five stars. I am looking foward to reading number three, The Mystery of the Mad Science Teacher. I am also looking foward to reading the picture book on his cat Buddy.
