While still good, this novel is somewhat disappointing as from previous books I know Hiassen can do much better. Too many tired old characters doing the same stuff only this time without the same flare and elan. The characters are now flat caricatures of their previous incarnations. it would be interesting to see how someone new to the author feels about the book.
