She holds positions at York University in Toronto in the Department of Nursing, Department of Religious Studies, and the York Institute for Health Research. She has a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Ottawa, a masters degree in psychology from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in theology from the University of Wales.
