    A Must Read!
    This has been the most empowering book I have ever read in my life. The first 30 pages or so, I was not into it at all, thinking I should probably stop reading. However, once I hit the chapters about the ego and what the mind does to us, I was hooked. It is written with simplicity and elegance. There are lots of great references by great meditation leaders, as well as some biblical passages that I never understood the meaning of until now. This book has definitely changed my life, I am so glad my friend borrowed this book to me - I will definitely be buying it and re-reading it multiple times.

    Thought-provoking
    I started to read this book around the time it was featured on Oprah, and I thought some of the concepts were interesting, but I lost focus in the book at the time. I will have to read this again and finish it...

    Not the greatest...
    I picked up this book because of the rave reviews and the heavy promotion by Oprah's webinars on the book with Eckhart Tolle. I found the concepts 'interesting' but I wasn't very moved by the message and I found the writing to be very redundant. All in all, a difficult read.

    Life Changing
    Life changing read. Eckhart explains experiences that I feel and go through but could never put into words myself. I now understand myself so much better. I now know why I have certain thoughts and how to deal with them. I used to feel crazy and alone sometimes, particularly when I'd have a little voice inside me that I would argue with. Now that little voice has a name, ego... and that is not who I am. Everyone has one, I'm not alone and I'm not crazy. I now know how to deal with it. It has been over a year since I've read the novel and I am soooo much happier; but I still have a lot more to learn. A book I would definitely read over and over again and recommend to others!

    Great & Out there!
    I purchased the audio cd's of this and some parts were very valuable and other 'out there'. Perhaps beyond my thinking capacity because I know a lot of people loved it. The first cds were slow - and then it picked up. Valuable info and somewhat odd yet it has sold 10's of millions...had to get use to his voice too. Worth a listen for sure - confused by much , left me with more questions than anything. Nice intention - much prefered the Now book.

    Fantastic book - A must read!
    This is a book that everyone should read. Helps to deal with true reality and shows how to put into practice ways you can live a better life. Difficult daily relationships and tasks can be transformed into learnings. Is this difficult to do? Maybe it is but it is worth it. Be positive and realistic about life and what happens in your life. I am practicing what I have learned and I can tell you that it works wonders! As with everything in life.....Be persistent and you will succeed!

    Too much hype
    Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this book. Though this book had to much hype and my expectations were too high. It makes you stop and think, but I can list a dozen other titles that have the same basic message...this isn't anything new..

    You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are.
    Far more in-depth than "The Power of Now" as far as content goes but Eckhart does a good job focusing equally on how to live peacefully in the world and with ourselves in potentially critical times. Very helpful techniques and coping strategies but alot to digest. A good way is to sift through the sections slowly and take what you can out of it.
