I read this in 2009 and i thought the story was good and different from the first book. After i finsh it i realize that it was my favorite book from the serie so far. it took me a couple of months to read it but i'm happy i did it. I saw the movie and i simply love it. i like that we get to see Jacob spending time with bella. i loved that there a few new character and i like them all. i find that the story was sad but i still like it. i know it not everyone will like this book because of the way the story goes. if you enjoy it good for you.

    New Moon Disappoints!

This review is from: New Moon (Trade Paperback)

At a first glance, New Moon is the much-anticipated, exciting, breathtaking sequel to Twilight. When one actually reads the book, they notice that New Moon isn't what it should be. Edward leaves Bella to "keep her safe", and Bella goes insane without him. Then she finds out that the Volturi (vampire killers) are going to kill Edward and Bella must save him.
Although it's written in strong details (much like it's prequel), this sequel disappoints. It portrays Bella as a weak person because of her insanity without her lover, and her depression is unrealistic, if not sickening. It's hard to get through, rather boring, spawned a HORRIBLE movie and doesn't have a nice flow. However, if you want to finish the Twilight series, I would still recommend you read this book because it is true that there are facts in New Moon that you are required to know in order to enjoy the following two novels in the series. I was disappointed by New Moon!

I love the Twilight Saga. I was able to feel Bella's pain and feel her happiness, and that my friend is just good writing.

I was really exciting to go see the movie when it came out and I wasn't disappointed (even if they did change things compared to the book)

Didn't like it as much as Twilight, but still very good. Different focus for this book.

WARNING: If you haven't yet read this book, you might not want to read the review, as I suppose it could kind of be considered a spoiler.

Edward and the Cullens have left Forks and Bella is devastated. When she finally makes an effort to resume a somewhat normal life, she finds a best friend in Jacob, who thinks of Bella as more than a friend. However, Jake has secrets of his own...

This was my least favourite of the series...

Jenn, I've heard a few people say that. Breaking Dawn was my least favourite, but I can guarantee that has a lot to do with me being Team Jacob. :-)

    New Moon

The vampire love story, New Moon, is an amazing sequel to the well-known series thriller, Twilight. In this book, Stephenie Meyer does a breath-taking job highlighting Twilight and reminding us again of how much we adore this particular string of novels.

New Moon is again about the steaming love affair between the shy and timid Bella Swan and the bold and brave Edward Cullen. Twilight was more focused on the love and romance between Edward and Bella, but New Moon directs more towards the intensity and battle for their lives.

New Moon is highly recommended, especially if you plan on finishing this extravagant saga.

I read Twilight to see what all the fuss was about. Given that I have never been a fan of vampire/werewolf stories and I am well past the young adult genre, I was surprised that I liked it so much. The excerpt at the end compelled me to buy and read New Moon and I was not disappointed. In fact, I think I actually liked this book a bit more than Twilight. It definitely made me a fan of the series.

All I have to say is WOW. What a rollercoaster ride for me. I know now what people mean by reading great books is all about. I was so shocked and intrigued with it, I think it only took me 2 weeks to read it. I have never read a book like this so fast. I can not wait to start reading ECLIPSE just to see what happens in the next book of the saga. It was another great read for me by Stephenie

I was quite bored threw out the entire thing. Bella was annoying, I missed Edward. Jacob made it slightly interesting though, I liked the twist they threw in there. It took me a long time to read, as I could put it down, read another book and then go back to it. AAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! but I am still going to read the next on cause I hear that it is better. :D

new moon is great, it makes you want to read on. Bella can sometimes get on my nerves and other times you sort of feel bad for her. IN this book, edward is hardly in it, bella is mostly with jacob and jacob teaches her to ride a dirt bike. in this book bella finds out what jacob really is and this shocks her....

so basically i dont want to spoil it for you but something happens that leads bella on a chase for the oine she trully loves which is Edward!

i recommend you to read it!!

This book when reading feels so real! It reminded me of my own heartbrakes and torments back in high school. I just think it's fascinating how Stephanie Meyer was able to bring those feelings to life, how it was even possible to put them into words! You will be able to relate to Bella on so many levels it's not even funny! Bella does all these crazy things just to be able to listen to Edward's voice in her mind over and over again.......the fact she hangs on to Jacob to somehow numb and be able to live through her pain because it's the only time she feels normal again.....Everything about this book feels so real! Whether you're a teen, a mother, grandmother or simpy a women, if you've ever been truly in love and then hurt you will understand why this book is so fascinating and amazing,

    Thank Goodness for Alice

This review is from: New Moon (Trade Paperback)

    Rienna

Is it me or did the book only get interesting when Alice shows up? The plot only became mildly engaging near the end. Still found it hard to sympathize with Bella. Jacob got under my skin with his sarcasm.

Why oh why did I continue reading if I don't like it?
Answer: I was hoping I'd find what other people liked about these books. Still wondering.

Think that's how you spell breathe but w.e.
Loved the birthday party part near the starting but when Edward left Bella it kinda got a little bit boring until Jacob came in to save her. Then it turns out she holds 2 very good secrets about a werewolf and vampire. that no one else in forks knew about them. The ending was really good when Edward and Bella got back together. People watch the New Moon clip on youtube it's really good and Jacob is sooo HOT!!!!!
