So I'm going to skip the plot synopsis, since everyone else has covered that. I found this book to be simply good, not horrible, but not wonderful. What made it simply good was the lack of major "OMG CAN"T BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED!" kind of moments, but at the same time it was quirky, and had some light humor, as well as some simple romance. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper is the first book in here Jane Jameson series. Nice Girls Don’t Have Fangs is the first book by Molly Harper. It's the story of a small town librarian named Jane who manages to lose her job and her life all on the same day. While this scenario may remind you of another hapless girl turned vampire queen (a.k.a. Betsy, MaryJanice Davidson's hilarious heroine), don't worry, this is not a Queen of the Vampires-wannabe book. A bit slow, some good humour a little bit too repetitive for the first two thirds of the book. The last 50 or so pages were the best part of the book, a fair bit of action. Fairly enjoyable but no Sookie Stackhouse.

Laugh Out Loud Good Times!

The strongest part of this book is by far Molly Harper's humour. The off-hand comments that she has her character, Jane, give, and the one liners had me giggling for most of the book. Other then that, I found the plot and character development average at best. The "human" situations in this story were rather unbelieveable (and if those can't be bought, then what hope do the preternatural parts have?).
