this is a really great series and this book was no exception it was also really great and I'm loving all the character development and I'm a big fan of Ash I hope he gets a book. I thought the storline was great and the characters were great as well I did find this one a tad bit slower than the other two so far but still really great. Check this series out. :0)

I really liked this installment of the Dark Hunter saga. We see more of Archeron and his potential, the power he can wield. We learn more about the heritage of the Dark Hunters, and Artemis is a blood drinker! I think Artemis drinking blood is my favorite part of the story. It's an interesting twist. It totally goes against the Artemis of Greek mythology, but seems rather fitting that the goddess of the hunt drinks blood. You know, symbolism and all that. So this is the story of the Celtic warrior Morgan falling in love with the reincarnated soul of his wife. I really liked her grandmother is this one. Grandma is just so awesome and tough its fantastic.

Talon is happy being a dark-hunter, until he gets run over by a Mardi Gras float. A woman takes him home to help Talon get better. After all he just saved her life it is the least that Sunshine can do. Once Talon wakes they have an immediate physical attraction that both give into. After all it is only going to be one day. Until the two learn that she is the reincarnation of his late wife, they are soul mates. Talon is not sure what to do, he loves being a dark-hunter and he loves his late wife, but does he love Sunshine? Sunshine has feelings for Talon but she will not be a doormat like his late wife. Sunshine maybe the reincarnation, but she is her own women. As the demi gods and damions vow to kill Talon and Acheron to let a powerful ancient god back into the world, Talon and Sunshine will have their love tested and both will have to choice the path for their future. Dark-Hunter book three and it just keeps getting better. The whole Dark Hunter world is beginning to coming out as the sub plot. In this book we learn so much more about many more Dark Hunters I can’t even list them all. We also learn much more about Acheron. It was great and I am really getting addicted to the whole thing. As for Sunshine and Talon I was initially unsure of the couple at first because she seems just too flaky to make it work, in the end it really does come together. I also really like how the basic love story for each Dark Hunter is the same; he is immortal and has a job to do not room for anything else. How that changes and how the couple actually come together have so different. I can only hope that Kenyon can keep that up.

Sherrliyn Kenyon has done it again! Night embrace is the 3rd book in the dark hunter series and for me the best so far although who know because each book get's better and better. In night embrace the main story is about talon of the morrigantes, he is a dark hunter and likes his job. While out one night talon hears the cry of a woman and when he finds her there are 4 daimons about to attack her. He tells the woman to run away and then start's to go after the daimons when out of no where talon is grabbed around the waist and thrown in front of a mardi gras float and not just any float is one is of a god, one talon knows well. When talon wakes up he has no idea where he is all he does know is that he is surrounded by alot of pink and is completly nakes. After a while a beautiful woman enters the room and he realises that it is the woman he saved from the daimons. As they look into each others eyes there is a moment of pure longing lust and secretly they wonder why. The womans name is sunshine she is an artist who is a bit on the flakey side but is a fighter and has a great heart. Talons must call his friends to bring new clothes to him since there was a laundry mishap and when they come they get a good laugh at his expence, a dark hunter is pink ruffles!! When sunshine returns she is curious why her two friends husbands Kyrian and Julian are in her house but then learns that they are good friends with talon. When the guys leave things really start to heat up and the passion flaires in EVERY room in the house and when it's all over and it's time for talon to leave all sunshine says is that it's been fun. IT'S BEEN FUN?? She should be the perfect woman for him she want's no commentment from him and he never stays around to get to know anyone but something about her makes him crazy and he just cane get enough of her or be away from her. As the story continues talon and sunshine realize that they knew each other those many centuaries ago but when she asks talon to open up to her, he can't because he is falling hard for her and if it ever becomes a know fact then sunshine is dead, because he is cursed forever to be alone and he won't let anything happen to her. So it's the question of If you love someone you let them go or do you fight to the death for them? Another great thing about this book is that we are introduced to alot of new characters as well as ones that have been in all the other books like Acheron. Acheron is the "boss" of the dark hunters and he himself is the very first one. He is the last atlantean know and he is scary as hell and very tight lipped about himself. His story is very interesting how he wrestles his feeling for the god artemis and his friendship with the hunters and all the power that he holds. Then there is Zarek he is the phycotic hunter who cares for no one and he is very deadly that is why he lives out in alaska where he is away from everyone. He was the slave to the romans, to valerious(who was the one who killed Kyrian) He is brought down to new orleans to help fight the daimons during mardi gras because that is when they come out to play the most and something evil is definatily brewing. Zarek is caught drinking from a human and then fighting with the police so acheron just doesn't know what to do with him, but in the end he really proves himself to everyone and I can't wait to read his story. There are also cameo's by Kyrian and julian and of course nick the squire is in it too. Oh, and I won't even get started with the were-hunters and the clubs the bears run!! So much info, such a great book. Again I recommend it to all you bdb fans and just to anyone in general who likes romance mixed with action/adventure. I can't get enough!! 2010-006

As we all know, life does tend to get in the way if the things we love most sometimes! Suffice it to say, the last week has been rather hectic for me and as such, I have decided to forgo a full review this time around. I will, however, share the basics. Dark Hunter Talon is yet another yummy character with a rather tortured soul. (I think I am starting to see a trend here.) Sunshine is a rather eccentric artist who turns out to be the reincarnation of Talons wife, who died in childbirth over 1500 years ago. Ms. Kenyon has created yet another wonderful story that kept this reader thoroughly entertained! Fav. Comical Quote, pg 98 This is a comment Sunshine made to Selena while talking about her first "day" with Talon: "Sunshine laughed. "Don't worry. It'll never happen again. You know me, I do date occasionally, but I usually spend at least a few normal, boring days with a guy before we rock the house down. Of course, no one ever rocked my house down the way this guy did. He leveled the mother to its foundations." Fav. Emotion filled passage, pg. 170 Talon came awake just before sunset with a sick feeling in his stomach. He felt so alone. His emotions were raw and tattered. He hadn't felt like this in centuries. Hadn't hurt like this since the night Acheron had taught him to bury his emotions. Tonight, he truly felt the solitude of his life. The aching burn of it sliced through his chest, and he had to struggle to breath. Until he caught a whiff of something strange on his skin and in his bed. Patchouli and turpentine. Sunshine. Kudos to Kenyon for another great read!

This series only gets better. In Kenyon’s third Dark Hunter series book we get the tale of Talon, an ancient Celt who’s soul belongs to Artemis but who’s cursed by the ancient Celt God Camulus, and Sunshine, a beautiful, fiercely independent but sometimes scatterbrained artist who is by far my favourite female of the series so far. How do these two crazy kids meet? Talon saves Sunshine from death by daimons, but is then promptly run over by a Mardi Gras float. No word of a lie, the man is run over by a FLOAT. Ha! Of course Talon is knocked out only to wake up from a burning sensation from the sun where he also realizes he is in a pink room and completely buck naked! And this is how they officially meet. I could go on about their first day together but I’d rather you read it, and then tell me how funny and awesome it was! Of course both think their first day together will be their last. They are both consenting adults and figure “let’s have fun and then go our separate ways”. But of course that is easier said than done when they are meant to be together! It seems they were pushed together too by some old forgotten Gods, Camulus and Dionysus, and a mysterious man named Styxx (no spoilers for you) – although their intentions are hardly good. Those three have a plan up their sleeves and its not a good one! A little different from the first two books, in this tale, Talon and Sunshine are pretty much all over each other when they are together. There is no lack of “sexy time” in this novel. And as they grow to get to know one another, they both make startling discoveries about each other and themselves – none of which I will mention :) . However, there are some roadblocks ahead for these two, including Camulus’ curse on Talon that will see Camulus kill anyone Talon loves (Let’s just say Talon killed Camulus’ son back in his mortal days and that ticked Camulus off a little bit). So to get a happily ever after they are going to have to get creative and maybe have a little bit of luck on their side. I will say that the conclusion of this book was mightily satisfying when it came to Sunshine and Talon! One aspect I loved about this book was the introduction of new characters we hadn’t heard of or that only made cameos previously. Acheron (Ash), the first and oldest Dark Hunter clearly has a haunting past and as I know his book is in the future, just having been given a tiny glimpse into his existence, I know his story is going to be a heart-wrenching tale. We are also introduced to Zarek, the Dark Hunter who is dark, menacing and slightly psychotic, and who has crazy issues and so far looks a little broken! Vane is also introduced. He is a were-hunter, who lives his life more as a wolf than as a human. In this book he actually gets a glimpse of his HEA, and it definitely sparked some interest to get to his book. And finally, Valerius is introduced. Of course if you have read the firs two books, you will know Valerius is Julian and Kyrian's mortal enemy, and considering who his HEA is supposed to be... I won’t lie, I am beyond excited!!!! I am so interested to see how that works out!!!! I liked getting glimpses into the rest of Kenyon’s Dark Hunter world. It didn’t take away from Talon and Sunshine, and definitely helped rev my engine for the next book! Enjoy! 10*4

If you liked Buffy or Angel, you will probably like the dark-hunter novels. Talon is a man who just wants a one night stand with a woman and left alone at his cabin in the swamp. Little does he know that a beautiful woman, who happens to have his wife's soul, saves his life after he is hit by a Mardi Gras float. There is evil at work and Talon must protect his fellow dark hunters and also the woman he is falling in love with, Sunshine.

The word biker is not usually synonymous with sexy, intelligent, funny, and fascinating- but Talon of the Morrigantes changes that. There is not one thing about this ancient Celt turned biker and his story that I didn’t like- and the twist at the end was really well done. It was tragic and heart-warming all at the same time, but also sweet and fun. I think my favourite part about this book was learning a little more about the other Dark Hunter’s that make up part of Talon’s existence. If you’re looking for a book with a lot of action, a nice bit of history and mythology, a dash of mystery, a pinch of dark, troubled heroes, and a generous amount of romance, any one of Kenyon’s Dark Hunter novels will definitely satisfy.

This is the book that started to turn me around to the Dark Hunter Series. I felt the first two books, Fantasy Lover and Night Pleasures, were quite shameless in the sexual attraction...or maybe I'm a little more conservative. Kenyon really started to develop the Dark Hunter universe in this book and her humour really started to appeal to me. Kenyon is very skilled at writing twists that make me want to read the next book just to find out what happens in the Dark Hunter universe.

I absolutely love the dark hunters. And Talon is one hell of a sexy Celt. His storyline in the book was one of the best thus far and it gave you the sense that the dark hunters will most likely have very diverse fates after regaining their souls...Kyrian went onto a mortal life, Talon was made immortal. I thought this book was a bit too long though. Like as much as I loved it, I thought there was just TOO much content. Mysteries surrounding Acheron I can understand, but this book introduces too many of the characters to be found in later stories. Example being Fang, who's book is still being written. I thought maybe he was one of the characters that could have been cut. Despite all this...I still want to continue with the series. I do love them...ALOT.
