The Ganneth Company | October 1, 2011 | Trade Paperback

Revised and updated second edition. Get the knowledge you need to cut through financial industry hype and profitably invest your hard-earned money. This easy-to-read book of investing basics is written for Canadians by savvy financial industry outsider, Gail Bebee. It's the book she couldn't find when she decided to take control of her money. Find out: how to choose the right financial advisor, where to invest your RRSP money, the best GICs, bonds, stocks, mutual funds and/or ETFs for you, investment products to avoid, how to keep investing costs down and much more.  You'll benefit from the author's years of hard knocks experience in the investing trenches and unbiased opinions on the best investment choices for the typical Canadian.   It's the guide to investing that belongs on the bookshelf of every Canadian investor. And it's recommended by Toronto Star personal finance columnist Ellen Roseman.

This is the investment guide that you'll consult again and again because the information is specific to investing for Canadians. Explanations are clear, concise, free of baffling jargon. The author is an industry outsider so there's no marketing angle, just the straight goods like the title of the book says. If you're a novice investor or know a young person starting a career, this is invaluable reading. Even if you have some investing experience, this is a good reference to have on your bookshelf.
