After witnessing a horrible crime, Abby Drake becomes a hunted woman. The 3rd daughter in a magical bloodline, she has the ability to communicate with sea life. Her only protection from those who want her dead is a Russian Interpol Officer named Alexsander Volstov; who happens to be her ex. Even though they’ve been apart for 4 years the passion is still there even though Abby doesn’t want to admit it. She’s rather face the bullet with her name on it than having her heart broken all over again. This was an okay book. Not as good as “Hidden Currents” (7th book in the Drake Sister series), but I still enjoyed it. There were times when the sister’s antics became a tad Scooby Doo like and that was just annoying. I still intend on reading the rest of the series.

The book was better than I thought it would be. The plot twist was surprising and very unexpected. I look forward to revisiting the characters involved in the little twist. The sisters are absolutely delightful.

What a great book. Abbey and Alexandr are wonderful together and their story is touching as well as full of drama! There is a lot of passion in this book and Christine Feehan is a wonderful author,writing stories with lots of romance as well and excitement.

I really liked how we see the effects of Abigail's gift on her life. There is a terrible burden in being able to command the truth with just her voice. We also see a possible future story line with Joley and how magic is not just for women. Alexander shows a wonderful determination in finishing what he started and how love can effect all aspects of ones life. Once again Christine Feehan has produced a winner. I can't wait for the next story involving the Drake Sisters.
