The poems of Pale Red Footprints were inspired by found journal material belonging to the poet''s grandfather, a French Canadian who lived within the landscapes of northern Ontario, Alberta and the southwestern United States in 1930s poverty and later prosperity, through inescapable hardship and choices which shaped not only his life but the lives of generations to come.
