I''m pushing aside
the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana
and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and ?ame.

Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

You'll Love the Deliria of this Book
    by Melissa Fan

I've been waiting an entire year for this book to be released as the ending of Delirium left me shocked and ready for more. Pandemonium's long await is breath taking and totally worth the time. Writing a story of love and strength takes a long time, especially with a perfect execution from Pandemonium. At the end of Delirium, we're left wondering so many things, and I personally wanted to know what happened to Lena and Alex. Sadly, we're only left with vague memories of what happened to Alex as Lena refuses to admit the worse for Alex. She has this hope burning in herself that Alex is safe and will find a way back to her. Now, no more spoilers on Alex because I'm still shocked about him. At the beginning of Pandemonium, Lena begins the story with two different perspectives. The novel is written in the past when she found the Invalids at first, so right after Delirium. But the main part of the story is written in the present when Lena is kidnapped by Scavengers who work with the people who like the Cure. I personally enjoyed the present more than the past because the past chapters had so much sadness and grief in there. Lauren Oliver truly has a way with words. Those chapters were so sad and reminded me so much of lovesick Lena that it just made me miss Alex so much. The present chapters are where all the action happens. Lena is kidnapped along with a new boy her age name Julian. Julian at first is a spoiled little rich boy, but once away from the cameras, he's just a scared kid. Alex has a competitor now for Lena and the readers. Lauren Oliver brings back the intriguing world where love is a sickness in this second installment of the trilogy (I think). Her writing is top notch, maybe even better than her previous works. Either way, you won't be disappointed with Pandemonium unless you wanted more info on Alex. The words and the pacing of the story are absolutely perfect as we're given more knowledge on the resistance and the love disease. Every single character grows emotionally and physically. Lena isn't the same girl she was when Alex was showing her another world (-- One Direction reference). Lena is now the new Alex as she shows Julian the true meaning of Love.
