I read reviews about Pat the Bunny before purchasing it. True, Pat the bunny is a good classic; it does not disappoint in its offering of activity and various textures. However, ignore the reviewer who said to get the Original version rather than the Deluxe because of the white spiral binding on the Deluxe version. Ugh - that's the kind used with the Original version as well. For $2 more, you can have two additional pages added to your classic. I've kept my current one since I had already punctured the plastic covering the gift box. I regret not getting the Deluxe edition. The pages aren't stiff like that of board books, which would have been more durable and nice. Otherwise, a nice book.

Our son loves this book. He especially likes playing peek-a-boo with Paul. As someone else said this book does have a plastic coil in it. Our does not fall apart. However our son does like to sneak his little fingers in there and pull the coils out of the pages. It is easy to fix but annoying.

I'm a fan of 'the bunny," too, recall reading it to my children decades ago and my daughter was happy I'd bought it for her babies. Plus I bought a second one for another grandchild. The story-line and the lovely touchy-feelie contents are the same, but the construction of the deluxe edition is unacceptable. Both books are going back ASAP. The binding is a flimsy plastic coil so the entire contents fell out in my hand when I opened the book; then individual pages scattered when my husband opened the second book. I have already recommended to C-I that they discontinue the sale of this edition until the flaw is corrected.

I remember having this book at home when I was a little girl and I'm 20 years old. My mom had this book for my brothers and I and I remember how much I loved this book. My mom bought it as baby gifts for many of our friends and family when they had children because we kids enjoyed it so much.

This book really got my daughter into loving books. She especially loves to play peek a boo with Paul! I've bought it several times for gifts for other kids.

Proving I am never too old for any book, I recently picked up a copy of this adorable classic. With faint memories surfacing as I leafed through this interactive baby book, I enjoyed every minute of remembering the pages. Perfect for literally any age, this book allows even very young children to interact with each page in the book. A perfect gift as a first book, the Pat the Bunny stuffed animal is also available to compliment the book. Needless to say, the bunny is also now sitting on my shelf at home!
