    Forever Touch you

I have read this book many times since I was in my teens (34 in 2008). This book gives you the history of the Phamtom from when he was born right up through the play. It gives you a look into his life and why he was the was he was. You will fall in love with him, your heart will ache for him and the trials he goes through in his life. You will laugh when he laughs, you will cry for him when he doesn't know how to cry, you will want to hold the little boy he was to take away the hurt he holds in his heart and want to be a shining light in his life that he so desperately needs. This is a touching take on who he is. Enjoy.

This novel, even after reading Gaston Leruox's original, brings new emotion and passion to the legacy that is The Phantom of the Opera. Irony, love, hate, mystery, danger, trouble... There are too many words to describe the movements of this novel! Susan Kay's novel is a must buy and read! The first time I read this novel, I sat for 6 hours straight reading it. I had to force myself to take a break so I could take in everything that was going on and not forget! Absolutely captivating...

    Amazing Novel

My neighbour loaned me a copy of this to read and it is now one of my favourite books. I've read it 4 times and get drawn in every time. Susan Kay gives Erik the compassion I've always had for him, unlike the broadway play where he's nothing but a heartless monster.
Phantom begins with Erik's birth and takes you throught he major turning points in his life, ending with the dramtic events of Leroux's Phantom of the Opera. If you've seen the musical, read this, and see how the story should be told!
