Playing With Fire: A Novel Of The Silver Dragons

An awesome novel, filled full of action, suspense. As the first book I've ever read by Katie MacAlister, I am not disappointed. She created an awesome world where anything is possible, demons, elemental beings, dragons, doppelgangers. I loved this novel, from the first page to the very last, even with its terrible cliffhanger ending. Gabriel and May had it all. The romance was so sweet. May was a strong female character who wasn't afraid to fall in love, wasn't hard up about having a man protect her even though she could do it herself. What a great novel, can't wait to pick up the next!

I had higher expectations for the book that just were not met. It was an OK book, but could have been better.
Don't think I'll be reading the second book any time soon.

I loved the Aisling Grey dragon series, but this book by far was way better. I still love the other series but Playing With Fire was the best book out of them all so far. The characters were amazing and I cant wait to see where Katie MacAlister takes them. She brought back the old characters and added new ones and made one heck of a story out of it.

MacAlister's world of dragons just keeps getter richer and fuller. This first tale of the silver dragons is another example of what a fine writer and storyteller MacAlister is. As a stand alone novel, the story is lively, romantic, and has a puzzling mystery that pulls you along with the characters. As a series, it adds depth to the world she has already created and makes it even better for having added to it. As with all her novels, this one is definitely a keeper!
