    Not the Best

Augusten Burroughs is one of my favorite authors. While RUNNING WITH SCISSORS and DRY were two of my favorite books POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS let me down. I didn't have the "I do not want to put this book down" feeling like I did with his previous work. I don't know if I was so worked up to read this but it did disappoint me a bit.

    Classic Burroughs

I'm already a big fan, so it was no surprise that I loved his latest work as well. "Possible Side Effects" reads like a wonderful collection of short stories, each one a little gem to be unwrapped. Possibly the best chapters in the book are 'The Wisdom Tooth' and 'GWF Seeks SAME'. Funny, funny stuff!

If you've never read Augusten Burroughs, start with one of his early works, so you can thoroughly appreciate how this warped genuis grew out of a scary, troubled, childhood.
