Ariely has many smart ideas, definitely it's a good read and quite
entertaining too. I particularly liked Chapter 4, The Cost of
Social Norms (why we are happy to do things, but not when we are
paid to do them) about the fine balance between social and market
norms that many companies seem to have forgotten when dealing with
their employees. I hope executives at various companies who
constantly cut benefits and increase work hours, monetizing
everything, read it and learn something from it.
If you want a preview, search at TED talks, he gives some
presentations there with ideas that appear in the book.
