The first Phillip Margolin novel I read was his 6th, eight years ago, and I have not missed one since, nor will I. All have featured plots with twists that can't be anticipated, compelling tension, suspense built on "insider", carefully researched information. "Proof Positive", his 12th novel, is no exception. "Poetic Justice", the title of its concluding section, could well have been a working title for the novel, because it's all about Justice and its high cost. The author was an Oregon criminal attorney before becoming a full-time writer and he uses both location and career backgrounds to full advantage.
