Radom Excess: Wild Ride of Michael Cowpland & Corel

by Ross Laver

Wyman & Sons | November 15, 1998 | Hardcover

Explore the astounding story of Canada's most flamboyant businessman in Random Excess: The Wild Ride of Michael Cowpland and Corel. The rise and fall of Cowpland, the founder of Corel, is the story of an ingenious high-tech innovator and nonconformist businessman, a man who made billions and lost them, seemingly without grief. Ross Laver offers a sharp portrait of a maverick man who rocked the Ottawa establishment with his Hollywood lifestyle and young wife Marlen.

I have just finished the book "Random Excess:" and recommend it to any Corel stockholder past, present or future. The author lined up his ducks and asked a lot of the right questions from the right people. Very interesting reading and it certainly fills in much of the information that went on behind the scenes.
