Zin dances with fire in every step, speaks in a honey-sweet voice, and sees with eyes that can peer into your soul. Nicole''s friendship with him is the only thing that saves her from the boredom of school and the turmoil of her family life. It''s no wonder she is madly in love with him. But she can''t understand why he keeps her at a distance, even though she can feel his soul reaching out for hers.

Zin is like no man Nicole has ever met, and he carries with him a very old secret. When Nicole uncovers the truth, her love may be the only thing that can save him from it.

This book really wasn't what I expected, but it was still really great. From page one I was drawn in and I honestly could not put the book down. It was a very quick read, it only took about 2 hours and I really wish it would have laster longer. :) I did not expect them to turn back into mortals and I really want to read more about Zin and Nicole, and everyone else. Its really obvious from the very beginning that Zin isn't human but I didn't expect the whole gang to not be either. The story is kinda of a typical mortal/immortal love story between Zin and Nicole. Zin is immortal and Nicole isn't but they love each other only Zin doesn't want to hurt her so he refuses to have a relationship with her, until she almost dies. I think thats when he really realized that he can't live without her. Nicole is offered by Carlo the gift of immortality but ultimately she says no. I think if Carlo hadn't been killed and the others hadn't gotten the chance to become mortal again Nicole would have eventually changed because of her love for Zin. I really liked that Zin was able to become mortal again and be with Nicole and I really would like there to be a sequel. I definitely would recommend this novel to any fan of the supernatural.
