Redemption's Kiss

by Ann Christopher

Harlequin | May 1, 2010 | Mass Market Paperbound

After Jillian Warner''s much-publicized divorce from her ex-governor husband, Beau Taylor, all she wants is a quiet life-out of the political spotlight. And quiet it is: the heiress and single mom runs a quaint B and B in Atlanta.

But Beau is back, vowing to win her heart. With desire reigniting, Jillian''s more confused than ever. Her seductive ex betrayed her once. How can she ever trust him again?

A near-fatal accident has changed Beau in ways he never imagined. Now his number-one priority is becoming the devoted husband and father he knows he always should have been. He''s determined to atone for the sins of the past and build a new future with the woman he''s never stopped loving. Beau wants Jillian-and this time he''s doing it right.

    A big let down

I usually enjoy reading Ann Christopher's books but I have to say that this book was really disappointing. I found myself being really angry at Jillian for taking Beau back after EVERYTHING that he put her through.

Ms. Christopher took great pains in Campaign for Seduction to draw out the character of Jillian and generated great reader empathy for her as a wife, mother and sister and I believe that she let us and the character down by putting her back together with that lowlife Beau.

I find it incredibly unbelievable that she would accept him back after the public and private humiliation.

Hopefully the next book will get us back on track and back to the superlative story telling that I look forward to from you.
