About the Author

Heather Cook has spent several years as an assistant reining trainer, teaches horsemanship lessons, and has worked with world champions Bob and Jason Grimshaw. She is an editorial team member for The Western Horse Review, a monthly columnist for The Quarter Horse News, and an international reining correspondent for PhelpsSports.com. She has been published several times in The Reiner, the official publication of the National Reining Horse Association. She lives in Calgary, Alberta.
