I highly recommend this book for any non C programmers. I learn a lot from this Book. It help me a lot in School as well. Its made like 1,2,3..Go. Simple as that. You Can't get lost in the Book. The Author take the time to explain everything. But they got lazy near the end, for the binary and numeric system. Anyways, agian this book is great for school, and any other kind of job. Enjoy it,,,

    Plants a bad seed

I'm not a C beginner so maybe I'm biased but I don't like the style of the code examples used. Bad variable names compensated by bad commenting, incorrect system call error checking which means that you can't even compile without getting warnings using gcc -W. It was good enough to act as quickie reference but I only used it because it is conveniently available from ITKnowledge.

    Great Intro to C

This is a great introduction to C programming. Difficult topics like pointers and memory allocation are handled clearly and completely. I really liked the fact that everything you learn is put together into one application at the end of each week. This helps people see how everything works together. This is something that is lacking in many other intro books. I do wish there was more on using multiple files in your programs, but that's not really a problem. If you want to learn C, buy this book.
