About the Author

John Bartosik was born in Oshawa, Ontario and trained at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Photo Arts Department. He is a corporate, industrial, and commercial photographer whose travels have taken him all over North and Central America. He moved to Whistler in 1977. During the eight years he lived here, he worked in the tourism industry and fell in love with the rugged terrain, documenting it in Sea to Sky Country and Whistler and Blackcomb Country.
