The author of this book wanted to collect people's secrets, randomly, anonymously. He left postcards in random places for people to pick up, write their secrets and mail them to him anonymously, This book is a collection of some of those people's secrets.

I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of it, as when I picked up the book at the library, it was large and full of pictures. Text was added in for what people wrote down. It was actually pretty interesting. Some of the secrets were sweet, but of course some were shocking or horrifying, as well. And some were just sort of neutral for the reader, though obviously a big deal to the person who's secret it was. Very quick to read.

This is the second PostSecret book that I have read, and I think it is even better than the first one I read.
The secrets in this one seem even more; disgusting, real, weird, sad, happy. Again, this is such an awesome idea for a book. I think everyone should own them, they are the type of book that you could always look at to cheer you up, or make you realize that no one is truly alone in what they think or feel!

I agree with the bathroom stall thing, I remember going into one and it was just like, inspirational sayings. Weird place to write things like that, but it made me stop and think for a moment.

I love these books too. When I first heard about the concept behind the post secret books, I could help but think of other aspects of our society where people anonymously tell secrets or share their most intimate thoughts. The first thing that popped into my head was writing on bathroom stalls. Sure some of the scribblings on bathroom stalls are useless and annoying, but some of the stuff is really astounding. I'm sure everyone has read something on a bathroom stall that has made them stop and think, ponder for a while as they did their business. If there was anyone brave enough to go around collecting some of these poems des toilettes, I'm sure it too would be an interesting read. Just a though. Perhaps it's already been done.

This book is filled with the dark unspoken, underbellies of fellow human beings; it will prod you to consider your own secrets and perhaps, to be more human. For anyone who seeks solace in the company of others fortune or misery, or for those of you who'd sneak a peek under the diary's cover if given the chance -- this one as well as the other three Post Secret books by Frank Warren are for you.

You can't go wrong here .. Reading secrets from total strangers is somehow therapeutic, for lack of a better word. It is an eccentric sort of comfort to know someone in Texas feels the way you do. This book is for anyone who has a secret and anyone who cares that everyone does.
