The ninth book in this popular series may have provided the most
fodder for Tim Curry's evil characterizations and eerie sounds. The
Baudelaire orphans end up at the Caligari Carnival, disguised as
freaks. In their never-ending quest to outsmart the horrible Dr.
Olaf, the children meet some strange characters, escape from an
angry mob and from ravenous lions. The action is non-stop, except
for the witty asides, and the audio version is clearly up to the
