Once you get into this book you can't put it down. Compared to the other books in this series I think this one is one of the best by far. Out of 10 I rate it a 9.5

The ninth book in this popular series may have provided the most fodder for Tim Curry's evil characterizations and eerie sounds. The Baudelaire orphans end up at the Caligari Carnival, disguised as freaks. In their never-ending quest to outsmart the horrible Dr. Olaf, the children meet some strange characters, escape from an angry mob and from ravenous lions. It Could Be Better

This book is OK, but it's not as good as the other books in the series. I kind of liked the Unauthorized Biography more than the Carnivorous Carnival. I expcted more. I don't know why. + read more

It was the best book yet! Lemony Snicket's 9th book is super! I give it 5 and 3/4 thumbs up ;) I don't reccommend to childern below the age of 9. REALLY GREAT!! moo + read more

The Most Deliciously Dangerous Yet!

Mr. Snicket has uncovered yet another frought and upsetting episode in the lives of Violet, Klaus and Sunny. If you've been biting your nails and pulling your hair out since the last installment, you won't be disappointed -- this is quite possibly the best yet! Further clues regarding VFD are revealed and yet the truth continues to allude us. The cliffhanger is almost unbearable, but there's lots to think about until Book the Tenth.
