Sweet indulgence doesn''t have to compromise health.

The North American diet''s heavy dependence on wheat and refined sugars is taking a toll on our health. Desserts are often a huge contributor to health problems and obesity. It is estimated that almost one in 130 people in North America suffer from celiac disease, some without even knowing it.

With Sharing Sweet Secrets, celiac sufferers and others with gluten intolerance, as well as health-conscious people generally, can finally stop depriving themselves of dessert and indulge in sweets -- safely and guilt-free.

Sharing Sweet Secrets features sections on:

  • Understanding celiac disease
  • Secrets for success -cooking and baking gluten-free
  • Cakes and tortes
  • Crumbles ''n'' crunch
  • Fruit desserts
  • Kitchen equipment
  • Pantry stock list.

Among the delectable desserts to try are:

  • Layered apple crêpe cake
  • Macaroon and raspberry ice cream terrine
  • Luscious lemon pudding
  • Honey panna cotta
  • Sponge cake with caramelized nectarines.
