I love this series. But Becky's naive concepts about life and the real world always makes me laugh. I love that this book shows Becky standing up for herself and taking charge of her life. I would recommend this series to anyone who can laugh at the most outrageousness person
Characters not-so-great

It really wasn't a bad book. Definitely didn't end the way I expected it. The story was great and very well written. The problem I found was the characters. Becky just seemed really dense. The trait in the previous book made for the great story, but now that readers know that she has a degree in accounting and business the whole idea of her not knowing how to manage her money made me dislike the character a bit. I am very glad she found her true calling at the end though. Luke was either on one end or the other. I just really hate male characters that go all out for their relationship one chapter and then do nothing the next. But since that made for the storyline, I can forgive. It just made it harder to read. Other than that, good book. I just really really hope that Becky smartens up with the shopping next time.

Right where we left off....
<3Slightly Devious<3
The [Shopaholic] story continues right where we left off; still getting herself further in debt, daydreaming, and now - NYC! Not as good as the first, but I still enjoyed reading further about this character and all her mishaps. Can't wait to read the next one!
Awesome Novel!

If you havent read any of the Shopaholic books - stop what you are doing and go get them! They are laugh out loud funny and so endearing. I find myself anxiously waiting for the next book in the series so I can find out what Becky is up to!

Just as good as the first
I LOVED IT. There are not other word. This was the best book, so excited and very relatable. Everyone gets them selves into a little mix up but she takes the cake. Once you pick it up you won't put it down. Very funny book.
Once Again A Great Read!

It was a great summer read. Funny and loveable! Can't wait to read the next!
Better than the 1st
I enjoyed this book even more than Confessions of a Shopaholic! Becky Bloomwood is so funny, and it's so easy to sympathize with her. It's very easy to read it over and over again.
Bridget Jones meets Carrie Bradshaw
Amanda Langella
Shopaholic Takes Mahattan is laugh out loud funny. It is like taking the Bridget Jones' world and mixing it with the Carrie Bradshaw world (Sex in the City). Becky Bloomwood is a 26 year old shopping maniac. When she discovers New York there is no stopping her! From buying an office shredder to a cocktail dress worth thousands of dollars, she keeps you laughing. Great read from Sophie Kinsella, who showed me you haven't lived till you've shopped in Manhattan!
Great book!

True... Becky keeps shopping! But what is the point of a SHOPAHOLIC that doesn't shop? ... I mean it's totally in her character! ... Great Book... Ironically, it was my first in the series and I just loved it and had to make my mom get me all the rest! SO OBSESSED ... my fav is still the fourth one ~ so romantic at the end! I'll recommend this book to all of you out there that has a guilty pleasure of shopping ~ who doesn't ... except for JESS maybe LMAO ~ ... anywayz ... all of you shopaholics will love this book 4EVA!

Kinsella truely captures the heart of all women! These books will have you laughing in spite of yourself. You won't be able to put them down!
ARGH!!!!!!!!!

At the beginning this book was interesting, but it soon became nothing more than a long list of Becky's shopping trips and expenses, briefly interspersed with bits of plot. The way that the main character kept on shopping was annoying and made me want to yell at her. This book was, however easy to read and I got through it in 2 days. Take it out from the library instead of spending 20 bucks on it.
WOW
Esther
As corny as a non-stop shopper running into a financial crisis seems, Sophie Kinsella does not EVER stop creating humor that is impossiblt to keep from bubbling out.
