    Shugo Chara! is about a girl named Amu. Everyone, even her parents, misunderstand her. They think she's a cool, popular, awesome girl, when really she's just shy and scared. After wishing to be reborn as her true self, she wakes up with three eggs in her bed. These are heart eggs, and soon they will hatch in guardian character, aka SHUGO CHARAS. They are all what she could be and what she CAN be. They try to help her follow her true dreams and be her true self. But meanwhile, a company known as Easter is up to no good- they're looking for the magical Embryo which will grant them any wish. Now, as she's becoming something she never knew was possible, Amu has to trust in her true Characters AND try to stop this company. X Eggs and X Characters are added, and she's given a job to stop them, because they will make children's dreams be shattered. Will she be able to do it? Read to find out! I'M SURE YOU'LL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DID!!

About the Author

David Walsh, Ph.D., is the founder & president of the National Institute on Media & the Family, a non-profit organization created to provide research & information about the impact of media products. A psychologist, educator, & parent, he is a frequent guest on radio & television programs as an expert on children & the media & has written several books & many articles on the subject. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
