I read the author's first book and really enjoyed it. I was already
maintaining a mostly vegetarian (and frequently vegan) diet when I
started reading this series. Given my long-time interest in vegan
and vegetarian cooking I have accumulated a number of cookbooks
tackling the subject and was curious to see what new recipes the
authors had to offer. I was disappointed to see how many recipes
featured very, very processed foods including tofu and soy products
such as fake meats and cheeses. A few of their salads looked
interesting, but that was it. If you're interested in a vegetarian
or vegan diet, go for it - but I would recommend choosing a
different cookbook that features more fresh vegetables and whole
grains. There are lots out there to choose from.
P.S. This forum would not allow me to post the titles of these
books due to their 'profane' nature, so I've edited accordingly.
