Sam's life is finally coming together; grades are good, Mom's got a new guy, he dumped his girlfriend, so now he can focus on skating again. But life is never good for long, as Sam learns when his ex arrives with the news she's pregnant.
I've never read a teen pregnancy book from the guy's point of view, and I liked most of Hornby's take on it (there was some weird stuff i could have done without, but meh). Hornby's Sam was honest, scared, excited and lost. It skims over a lot of the details of teen pregnancy, but does deal well with Sam's emotions. Overall, a great read.
