Every chapter I started felt like I was picking up a new book. There were so many characters, I really should have been writing them all down as I was going along just so I could refer back to it when another character mentioned a name. Then just when I get three quarters of the way through the book and think I have everyone figured out, along comes another chapter about a new character. And then another. With the character confusion and the time jumps in every chapter, nothing flowed. I give it two stars instead of one because overall, the story wasn't bad. It just didn't seem to be put together very well.

Halfway through but it's extremely slow moving and therefore a bit boring. Characters and chapters are choppy and not well developed. The story it doesn't flow well. Maybe it's supposed to be choppy to go with the eventual climax? Does someone get chopped? Still, if it's not fun or enjoyable, or at least teaching the reader something then what's the point? i'll continue to read and hope it improves. Stay tuned . . . .2 days later - increased this review from 2 star to 3 star - it did improve and became more interesting and I liked the radical activist outcome so uncommon to many books. A surprising but pleasantly vindictive ending. There should've been a more developed plot within the first few chapters for better flow. Hope to read more from this author. Lots of potential.
