So Drizzt finally leaves his homeland to live among humans, orcs, trolls...etc. I feel like I'm repeating myself, but this book added no more substance than its predecessors with Drizzt in his newly found environment. The tremendous weakness of this trilogy evokes a sense of wonder as to how Salvatore has propelled himself as a popular author. Were I ten, perhaps I would find this series interesting. Creative geniouses exist...this is not one of them.

This book is a good way to end the beginning of Drizzt, one of fantasys most loved characters. Salvatore has mastered the art of writing Forgotten Realms novels. If you haven't read any of his books I strongly advise you to!!

I have read many of the "Forgotten Realms" books and I must say that this has to be by far, one of my favourites.

in this book every one's favorite Drow is once again put to the test of rising above his history, and heritage. Every turn he takes he is judged quickly because of the evil reputation that his race has aquired, With few friends he seeks out his possition in the world, finnaly fleeing from the dark reccesses of the the underdark he struggles for good.

He is aided by a magical panther whom know's not predjudice, or racism. He finds few loyal friends that see past his dark face and are able to notice the large heart that beats inside his chest.

I found this book very fast-paced and exciting. It kept me intrested throughout the entire book. At first I was timid to read this book because like so many I was naive , I was convinced that it could never compare to Dragonlance but I was wrong and i suppose I'm a little wiser now.
