The detailed illustrations and little known facts about the
featured insects were fascinating. As I read this book, there was
no doubt in my mind about the scientific accuracy of the
information presented in either word or picture.
The authors planned well when they made the main characters insects
that everyone would be familiar with. Building on that, the book
points out prominent characteristics of the featured insects that
readers could easily overlook or be unaware of.
I liked that fuller coverage of the insects was included in the
latter
portion of the book for the older readers, and that, after looking
at such
large descriptive pictures throughout the book, things were put
back into
perspective in the conclusion.
This book was very well thought out, and the authors have done a
fabulous
job!
I ordered a second copy to donate to a local public school library.
And they were thrilled with it!
Gee, bugs can be fun!
