    I bought this book without having looked through the recipes, without watching her show before, and based on the sparse reviews I found. This has been one of the most frequently used baking books. In the short time of owning the book I have made many recipes and 99% have turned out perfectly.

    The only thing I wish was that there were more pictures and recipes that have pictures, refer to the page number the photo is on. Also it would be nice if more recipes were included in her featured ingredients.

    This is a go to book when you have an ingredient and looking for a recipe to go for it. It may be a bit unwieldly if you're looking for a cake recipe as the table of contents is listed by the featured ingredient.

    I cannot even express the wonders of this cookbook. Anna's recipes are incredible and extremely delicious. She has amazing baking tips that will help out beginners and even veteran bakers. I enjoy every one her recipes. Everyone should test out her Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe...its unbelievable!!!

    Sugar is a really great book with easy to follow and sufficiently detailed instructions. I have made more than a dozen recipes, which have all turned out amazing. Both my brother and husband approve of the five star rating.

    Just the pictures in this book make me hungry! I love it!
    All the recipies are great and really easy, if you know your stuff. Suger is a fantastic book for both starters and people who cook very well!

About the Author

Anna Olson is a renowned chef, host of the Food Network Canada's show, "Sugar," and author of the best-selling cookbook by the same name. Before hosting the show, she was the pastry chef at Inn on the Twenty, where she met husband Michael. Anna also writes, develops recipes, and teaches cooking classes.
