As if Vampires Weren't Bad Enough

Book 4 of the Dresden Files puts Harry in the midst of a murder mystery that if he is unsuccesful in solving, will see him shipped off to the Vampires post haste to stop a war between the Vampires and Wizards. Mab, the Winter Queen has been accused of murdering the Summer Knight and requires Harry to prove her innocence by finding the actual murderer.

The book expands on the world of Harry Dresden and is entertaining from start to finish. This is not the place to start reading the series. Some background is given as is oft the case in a continuing series but to fully enjoy all that is here you should start at book 1.

    The Sidhe scare me!

With every Dresden File I read, the supernatural world scares me a little more. This book was eerie and creepy and all kinds of awesome. The mystery was not difficult to solve, at least I thought so, but the worlds created made up for that. They were vivid and fascinating and beyond imagination. A blend of many different ideas and myths about what exists beyond our vision. The book was rife with humour and emotion, not to mention danger, violence and sex.
I enjoyed every minute of this book and found it impossible to put down. Dresden rocks my world.

I love the Harry Dresden series! This Wizard doesn't take himself or the ridiculous world he lives in too seriously. The character combines pragmatism, humour and a healthy appreciation for the stupidity of fate into a whole lot of fun!
