Sundays At Tiffany's

by James Patterson

Grand Central Publishing | June 1, 2009 | Mass Market Paperbound

Jane Margaux is a lonely little girl. Her mother, a powerful Broadway producer, makes time for her only once a week, for their Sunday trip to admire jewelry at Tiffany''s. Jane has only one friend: a handsome, comforting, funny man named Michael. He''s perfect. But only she can see him. Michael can''t stay forever, though. On Jane''s ninth birthday he leaves, promising her that she''ll soon forget him. Years later, in her thirties, Jane is just as alone as she was as a child. And despite her own success as a playwright, she is even more trapped by her overbearing mother. Then she meets someone-a handsome, comforting, funny man. He''s perfect. His name is Michael . . .

(The Chapters-Indigo website has been deleting my ratings so: I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars/leaves.)

I enjoyed this one -it was very sweet. It WAS fluffy, so if you despise fluff and sweet you might want to avoid this one.
Admittedly, it did lack somewhat in substance: the characters did tend towards the stereotypical.
However, for those who want an easy, sweet read for a few hours, this one is highly enjoyable as long as you take it for what it is.

Similar recommended titles (given here because of the weird problems I've been having with the Chapters/Indigo website and which they STILL haven't fixed):

-Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer
-Heart of Gold, by Sharon Shinn
-Perfect Chemistry, by Simone Elkeles
