Really great read. For anyone doing a comparison: much better than 50 Shades. There isn't any major character development in this book, but I hardly think that's the point. Personally, I read these books for the sex scenes and nothing more. And this book delivered on the sex scenes. They were detailed, varied a little bit (more so than 50 Shades), and Banks threw in some sweet little surprises. Excellent read.

waste of money ! the whole time i was reading it i felt that i had to force myself to keep reading. The sex was the same stuff over and over again and the characters weren't exciting. it was just a dumb little love story with lots of sex in between and to make it worse the ending was the just terrible. If your looking for something like fifty shades i would recommended crossfire novels.

I was quite disappointed about this book. I read other reviews saying it was as good as the "Fifty Shades" series. Not even close. I didn't even get hot and bothered when reading this. It took me a few days to read this, I couldn't get into it.

Sweet Addiction had some really wonderful moments, snap shots if you will. Ren's turmoil, at various points in the story, were really well done. I could feel the conflict within her like a physical thing. The interaction between Lucas and Cole while they negotiated their way around each other was also fabulous, all that alpha maleness bristling between them. The dialog between Lucas and Cole was well written and was one of the things I really liked about Sweet Addiction. My issue was that I felt like *gasp* there was too much sex and not enough emotion between Ren and her men. The scenes were very hot, Maya does know how to write the smokin' good times, and there were lots of them but they were missing that emotional intensity I felt from Ren at other times in the book. There were lots of "I love you's" but I just didn't feel it, I wasn't convinced of the emotion. If bondage and domination are not your thing then you would be best to skip this Maya Banks title but for those brave enough, there are lots of boundaries to be pushed. As a Maya Banks fan I would not have missed Sweet Addiction.
