I found this book better than the first one in the series. Serena's job is to fulfill other people's fantasies, whether they want to be a princess for a day, or be a chef at a fancy restaurant, but when it comes to her own fantasies, she has nothing about it. When her friend gives her a contact that could help set up her fantasy, she had no idea what to expect, but when Damon, the owner of The House, takes on fulfilling her fantasy she is a bit shocked. Damon has helped many people find what they are looking for,but has never found the woman who would be his pampered and cherished submissive. I love the journey Serena goes on and what she struggles with as a woman.

First things first, this was my first Erotica book. I generally knew what to expect, but my main concern was (and probably always will be) that beyond the sex, how would the story be!?!? Well, i was not disappointed with Sweet Persuasion. The book starts off with Serena, a very successful business woman who owns her own company that seeks to fill fantasies (not sexual fantasies - think more Make A Wish Foundation) for her clients. The only thing with her business is that, since it takes up so much of her time, she is neglecting herself and her fantasies - this time think sexual. One day while with her two best friends Faith and Julie, she asks the question that sets the course for this book: "Do you know anyone who fulfills sexual fantasies?". While her friends are taken aback a bit, Serena finds out her friend Faith, who she always assumed quiet and innocent, is not in the least, and knows the perfect person for such a task: Mr Damon Roche, a sex club owner but also very close friend of Faith's. While the initial intentions of Damon is to set Serena up with someone to fulfill her fantasy of being a "sex slave", when he meets her, and finds out some of the scenarios she wants in this experience, he is determined to have her to himself. As this is seemingly a business arrangement, there is a contract to sign, as well as some conditions. One of those conditions is to have her take work off for a week and have her with him AT ALL TIMES, and then for three more weeks, have her return to him and be his after her work. To be less barbaric as well, he states that she is to call him by his name "Damon", not Master, and the while she is expected to do EVERYTHING he asks, that he will never "hurt" her and that all she has to say is NO, he doesn't care for safe words as he doesn't care for no-means-yes stuff. As a reader you definitely get the sense and are told that he wants this as much as she does but he's not into role-playing and games... Anyways they set up a date for this to begin which is to begin by being purchased at an auction of sorts by Damon. I should add that this is quite the auction :D Let's just say that their week together is hot, and it starts at the auction. I will say that this book is not for people who are opposed to women submitting, S/M, and bondage. Serena is after all a sex slave. I will say that while initially a fantasy, some realities emerge for both characters as feelings, emotions and attachments start taking form for one another. Therefore if you are looking for pure sex, or hardcore BDSM, i think you'll be a little disappointed. There was a sensuality to this that i really enjoyed!!! I will say that the one thing i was a little miffed about was the ending. While it was the ending i wanted, it felt rushed a bit. OH AND regarding her best friends Julie and Faith. When this book was released Faith's story had already been told in Sweet Surrender (which i have yet to read but will be reading). Julie's story is after Sweet Persuasion, although Sweet Persuasion does introduce Julie and her "man" in the newest release "Sweet Seduction" ( will be reading too!). Hope you enjoy the sexy time as much as i have!!!

This was a great trip into erotica. Besides having some great steamy sub/Dom scenes, it actually had a great story! Serena has spent her career making other people's fantasies come true, whether its helping someone be a chef in a classy restaurant for a day or helping a little girl be a princess on a cruise ship. But who will help Serena fulfill her fantasy? Serena fantasizes about being possessed or owned by a man. A normally independent, take charge woman, she dreams of submitting completely. She turns to Damon Roche, the sexy owner of The House (an exclusive sex club), to find a man to help her live out her fantasy. We first met Damon in Sweet Surrender, another good book by Banks. Damon wants a woman to call his own. When he meets Serena, he knows that he will never let another man have her, instead he wants to make her his. What starts as simple fantasy soon becomes all too real. Can Serena be the woman Damon yearns for? The story is well told and very moving at times. Serena is conflicted and you will feel empathy for her. Damon is a great leading man and his character is multi-dimensional. Serena's trip into the sub/Dom scene is also very interesting to read. Despite being a story of dominance and submission, it is a very well told romance.
