A great guide for anyone who would like to switch to a Mac but is daunted by thought of transfering all your precious data. It has easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions for everything from how to configure your Mac and transfer your files to proforming routine maintence and trouble shooting. It also includes lists of alternate programs that you might like to try and a quick reference guide to help you learn all those new keyboard shortcuts.

Most of the "Switching to a Mac" books I looked at had information that was interesting but made me feel overloaded while I was still learning the basics -- not so with Portable Genius. Not only is it very concise and easy to follow but it's laid out to function as a quick reference guide so I could find the information I needed when I needed it.
