About the Author

Mike Filey is a popular Toronto historian and is a former member of the Toronto Historical Board and the Ontario Heritage Foundation. In addition to his regular column in the Toronto Sun, he is a popular commentator on several Toronto radio stations. He is the author of many books on Toronto, including his popular Toronto Sketches series, From Horse Power to Horsepower, I Remember Sunnyside, and in the fall of 1999 a revised edition of his Mount Pleasant Cemetery book.
