About the Author

A life-long fan of the history of hockey, Lefebvre inherited his passion for Canadiens'' lore through his father''s handed down tales of the Habs'' Stanley Cup triumphs. Robert''s zest for knowledge of the game was all-encompassing. Prior to sharing his enthusiasm for the sport with readers, he played, coached, scouted and managed leagues at the youth hockey level in his hometown. Later, as a hockey parent, an interest in documenting his daughters'' hockey travels for a local paper soon developed into larger writing pursuits. By 2006, he had founded the popular Eyes On The Prize website; a chronicling of the Canadiens past, present and future. A member of the Society for International Hockey Research, Lefebvre worked with the Canadiens in 2009 on several centennial-related projects. He presently resides in Cornwall, Ontario with his wife and two daughters, where he patiently awaits his favorite team''s 25th Stanley Cup.
