Before you read this you need to read The Power of One - a brilliant book itself. Tandia is the sequel to that book and continues the powerful story. it's beautifully written and gripping - a great read.

An excellent sequel to The Power of One and gave a spectacular continuation to Peekay's life. Not sure why Bryce Courtenay changed the name of Peekay's best friend, but all in all a very satisfying story continuing The Power of One.

Tandia is a simply amazing book. I would strongly recommend Tandia to anyone that loves to read even the people who hate it would love reading after Tandia. I've never truly cried reading a book until Tandia. Bryce Courtenay makes things so vivid for you. I was really upset when I finished the book I wanted more. I learn't so much reading Tandia and that nothing is impossible to achieve.

As with "The Power of One", I found it very hard to put this book down (not helpful when studying for exams). If you like a little bit of fictional history and drama rolled up into one, this is the book for you!

From Our Editors

When Tandia was a teenager, the South African police raped her. Half Indian and half African, she grew up to hate white men, using her mind and beauty as weapons for terrorism. The tables turn when she meets Peekay, a white man with a past as strange as her own. In a land that forbids mixed relationships, their love results in explosive consequences. Bryce Courtenay's Tandia is the sequel to the international best-seller The Power of One.
